Headphone mods

I have a pair of Laredo by California headphones and I was wondering if there are any ways to mod them in order to fix to some issues I have. First off I would really like it for these cans to cancel out more surrounding noise, I travel quite a lot and outside noise tends to leak in easily. Also I would Love it if these had a cleaner sound, I like the sound signature but they are pretty damn muddy at times. Thanks for your help.

Well you can try different dampening material inside the headphone behind the speaker or around it but it's not gonna guarantee positive results but it's an option different ear pads might also help I don't know the headphone though

I was thinking about doing that but what materials should I start with? I'm new to modding headphones so anything cheap and easy would be awesome.

I believe felt or similar is a standard material, but you could seriously compromise the performance of the headphones in the process.

Well you can get sound dampening foam to begin with but modding will require more expiramenting with different materials

I think you're out of luck on the isolation considering its an on ear headphone and not an over ear.
