Win 8.1 Colour scheme setting gone?

Go to solution Solved by spenser_l,

You have to be on the start menu to get that setting menu. It's contextually sensitive to the environment you're currently viewing.

So you get the desktop personalization from the charms bar on the desktop, and the start menu colour theme personalization from the charms bar on the start menu.

TLDR: Windows Key(Go to start menu) -> Charms Bar -> Settings Gear -> Personalize

How do i change my colour scheme??

i know its a stupid question but in win 8 i can find it in in personalization in setting from the charm bar. now I'm using win 8.1 and its gone the part where you can choose the colour scheme for start button is gone.

any one know how i can change my colour scheme??

Hi,

In Windows 8.1, Microsoft has now moved this setting to Charm bar. To access it, make sure you are in the Start Screen interface.

Press Windows key + C and click Settings or place your mouse pointer in the right hand corner and click Settings.

Click Personalize. (Note), if you do this from the Desktop, you will taking to the Desktop personalization options. So make sure you are at the Start Screen.

Choose your Background art, which are now animated. Then select a colour from the ‘Background color’ palette and then select your accent color which will be applied to the animated object, thats it.
