I'm using Windows 7 Home Premium at the time and I knew about these 'Windows Audio Enhancements'. I never really bothered trying them but I wanted to ask some of the Audiophiles out there if they're something to think about, I'm using a HyperX Cloud Headset (Yes, they aren't the best but these were the only one's available in my areas >$100).

So you want to know if you should use some of those settings? Me personally, I keep everything at default but make sure I have any enhancements off. You can give those setting a try if you want. No harm in trying things out. And if you dont like it just change it back

I'm going for Loudness Equalization and Bass Boost, please point me in the right direction to Audiophilism.

I leave all that crap off. I crank up all of my mic setting to 24/192, but other than that, I don't mess with any of Window's settings. I personally don't like the computer playing my music the way it thinks it should sound. If you are looking at getting into audiophile stuff, I would upgrade those headphones. Those are your biggest bottleneck right now. Maybe look into the Sennheiser HD 598? Those are a great pair of entry level audiophile headphones.

Well, saying 'point me the right direction to audiophilism' is kinda like saying 'point me the right direction to "food enjoying"'. It doesn't really matter how others enjoy their food. What really matters is how YOU enjoy your food. If, for example, you enjoy eating soups with a fork, then who's to say it's wrong and shouldn't be done? As long as it's good for you, no need to give a rat's ass to what others have to say.

A friend told me he preferred his Razer Morays to my HD800s, and he let me try them on with his Windows 'Bass Boost'.

...Yea, no. Just no. The bass boost was far worse than the Razer Morays. Might have been Bass Boost + some other 'enhancements' too.

I'm just saying that there may be a experience I'm missing out on, I mean if I tried eating soup with a fork and be happy with it I would be happy but If I found a new way to eat soup (with a spoon) I would enjoy it even more and have the full and best experience of eating soup. Wow, these examples tough... I think my point is kinda clear now.

Thing sad thing is, nothing from Sennheiser is available in my area -.-*

Why are you asking us, you tell us if what you have sounds good. And in all honesty the aforementioned Sennheisers arent any real improve, while nice, and open. They arent so much better as to justify spending again.

I'm not willing to spend again, not at all this year for just a pair of headphones. I just wish something from Sennheiser or Audio Technica was available in my area when I had to buy headphones.

Anyway, I think the conclusion to my question is to leave the Windows Audio settings at it's default since they'll make the already a bit bassy headphones more bassy.

Ummmm, okay, how much enhancements your system got (it varies between various soundcard/chips)? The picture only showed 4 tick boxes, but let's give a bit of slack, say it got 6 tick boxes. Try them all? Takes max 1-2 hours (this is the maximum, by normal human's standard) to tick this box, listen, tick that box, listen, combine this box with that box, listen, and so on. Hear the differences, and stay with the one you like.

With your fork analogy, you got a bowl of soup in front of you. Now beside the bowl you got a fork, a spoon, a pair of chopstick, a straw, a spatula (can't think of anything else), all are yours to use, and all are in a hand's reach. What's the most logic thing to do, try them all to see which one you prefer, or posting in a forum, 'guys I got a bowl of soup in front of me, what should I eat it with? I got a fork, spoon, chopstick, straw, and spatula in front of me'??

I think you can answer that one....

Good point.

This was obviously just a lazy action.

Tried all of them, mixed and combined all of them, hated all of them.

End of Story, Lock Thread.

Thanks for helping everyone.
