Please recommend headphones/headset

OK please dont kill me here but im looking for a gaming headset (I KNOW I KNOW i said gaming...)

Im gonna use it for pc gaming only. My price tag is $300.

I used rosewill 5.1 and azio vibration headsets (basically they vibrate with deep base)

What I need: DEEP LOUD RUMBLE BASS!  this is the most important feature for me i want my head to shake

2nd. 7.1 or 5.1 surround  and good audio

3rd. Durability, im tired of the cheap stuff breaking after a year.

4th. wireless would be nice but not a must

5th. i really want a mic build in so when i game i have it. thats why i said gaming headset but if u can link me to a great headset and a clip on mic ill look at that too.

6th. if it is a headset i love the feature where your speak into the mic and hear it in the headset. I know you can set it up on your pc to work like that too but its never the same their is alway a delay

but like i said base is number 1 for me.

What i have been looking at: Mad Catz freq 7.  (i was gonna get freq9 till i found out the mic only works VIA bluetooth.... my pc doesnt have a bluetooth card build it)

Ok so what do you guys think. any ideas

one thing what is Immersive 3d soundstage cause it scares me that these arent surround sound

Surround sound headsets are just headphones with built-in DSP. If you really think you need it, then use Razer surround or buy a soundcard with similar functionality.

Keep in mind that a quality open headphone will provide much better imaging than a bass-heavy closed headphone. You kind of need to pick one or the other at this price point.

That said, I second the V-Moda suggestion above.

ok thanks guys  and thank you SSL for the quick replys. I got the razer software and tried them with my headset im using right now (its stereo) cause my surround sound one broke. I notice the difference in sound so ill definitely use the software. nice thing i saw with moda is 60 day trial period. so im gonna give them a shot
