hes not gonna be overclocking. hes a console switcher

just get a wifi card or even a usb one. i use a cheap $10 one and I' m in the opposite corner of my house and get 20-50 ping.

I edited a few things cuz this was really unbalanced. It got cheaper with better specs too. lol

If he doesn't play triple A then go cheaper.

 

2500K or 3570K

 

And instead of 960 pick 750Ti.

 

Switch the psu to something smaller, 750 for this is an overkill. 500 would do the trick.

 

Just an a example. You can cut the corners more i you want.

 

Even better, try making an Itx build. He'll get a console vibe from it.
