Hi,

I am going to build a new pc this winter and I am just planning it out before hand.

I want your opinion if this can be done: I want to build a pc that can play the average games of max settings (e.g. CoD: Zombies) but I also want to have another hard drive that boots into OS X (Hackintosh) so I can work with xCode for app development.

I know I can do it, but I just mean from a hardware perspective...

Can I do my build were I can play my games on max but be able to boot into OS X with no issues.

Thanks!

Stórm.

i don't know your budget, but linus's hackintosh build might be something you could use, and just dualboot.

Nothing to see here, move along

RJSX1, Yeater and Riddler, thanks for the responses.

My Budget is flexible but around £800, which according to Google is around $1100.

Use this site to assemble builds: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/

Anyway, your build is certainly doable. You could get a 256 gb SSD and split into 2 partitions: one for Windows and the other for the Hackintosh. Then, just add a 1TB HD of shared storage and you are good to go.

As far as the rest of the system, come back here once you are ACTUALLY buying it. With some (a lot) of luck, Broadwell/Skylake will be out by then, so you can get the new CPUs. Also, AMD's 3xx series is going to be fully out, meaning you have better GPU choices.
