Android 5.1 install error Nexus 5.

I have the 32 GB black version of the Nexus 5, with plenty of space left over, and i'm currently running 5.01.
Whenever I download the 5.1 update (220 ish MB), it downloads and then prompts me to restart, and everything if fine and well at this point.
But as soon as I reboot, It attempts to install it, and then gives the dreaded "Error" logo.

I have to force it to reboot after that, and it is still 5.01, and after the reboot it fails to find the update again, until i reboot 3 more times.

Any android experts in here?
I do have root, and I can take a video of what happens.

So the update is OTA, right? If so, it should work fine.

I am about to attempt that, but it seems I have forgotten my usb cable in my car.

It seems to have something to do with what supersu did.

It replaced /system/bin/install-recovery.sh and does not make a backup, so If i remove root, it removes that file but does not replace it. 

So I need to keep root, find that file, put it in myself, remove root, and then try the OTA.

Will update when I attempt that.

You'd be better off just flashing a custom recovery like TWRP and go from there. It's way safer.

Hmm, last thing I used before reverting to stock was CWM, it gave me the ability to disable signature verification, I don't know why TWRP wouldn't. I'd have to look through the settings again to verify myself, because I can't find anything online pointing me into the proper direction.

Praise the holy fucking google gods and Darude himself.
So no joke, after attempting this very thing about 10 times, i decided on one more "why the fuck not" attempt. 
Extracted the tgz i got, found the "flash all.bat" file, and double clicked it. 
It failed... BUT, Darude-Sandstorm came on (no joke), I started tapping my desk to the song and ACCIDENTALLY hit space bar. 
Well, that for some reason made it actually flash the phone with the 5.1 image. 
10 minutes later, and i'm downloading all my old app automatically, in 5.1.

I literally have Darude to thank for this.

Also thanks to those that helped. 
My issue is solved.



Now to just change this god awful default PPI on the Nexus 5 again.
