I've noticed recently I get quite horrible fps drop in BF4. I'm playing normally and suddenly the FPS drops to like 20 and pretty much stays there. This has forced me to quit games and its overall quite frustrating since it makes the game almost unplayable when it happens.

I checked afterburner and noticed that the GPU usage starts to go all over the place all of a sudden, which appears to be causing this. Its not a hardware issue, as both CPU and RAM were not maxed out at the time this began. Its also not a temperature issue, with CPU temps in the 50s-60s and GPU temps in the high 40s at the time. Here's an afterburner screenshot:

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Do a clean reinstall of the drivers.

Something similar happened to my 290 on BF4 as well, I think it was an unstable overclock (may or may not be the same for you).

I am running a conservative overclocked, but its stable for everything else and its not even close to where I can push my 290 if I give it more voltage. I hope that's not the issue, but I'll try playing at stock settings and see if that helps.

Try core unparking, I had similar issue and after unparking cores it stopped.
