so yesterday i had a random smart error.

So i turned my pc on yesterday after work and it gave me a smart error on one of my raid drives, it wouldnt boot. so i disabled smart from the uefi and  Windows sat on the boot logo for about 5 min and then blue screened and froze. windows start up repair said repair failed. So when i restarted i noticed that no raid showed i went into uefi switched it from achi to raid. restarted and hit control i and it listed one drive  in red with an error. so i booted windows still froze. so i went to hit f8 for diagostics but this time raid said the raid would be rebuit in windows.  so this time windows booted.

so i went into intel rst app and clicked reset to ok status and proceded to rebuild. after it rebuid about 2 hrs later i ran crystal disk info and said smart was good.

so i went into uefi reactivated smart and now no errors and every thing works fine, and crystal disk info still said drive is good. the pc was on all day and ive had no issues and checked smart status every few hours a few test shut downs and no errors or issues, and intel rst app said all is good no errors.

side note i did update uefi on my board on wednesday 2 days before incident.

was this a random glitch, is my drive going, is it because the uefi reset the raid to uefi with out me knowing, or was it because of the different uefi revision,

board is an asus maximus vii formula

and the raid is the on board raid.

windows 7 w/32gb ram

and it has 2 segate 2tb drives in raid 1
