Currently using a Logitech Z313 for my audio needs. I'm currently in the process of building a new gaming PC. Only thing I haven't decided on is an audio solution. I figure something like my Z313 would be most easy to work with, but I'm also looking at something like bookshelf speakers and a subwoofer. Can anyone reccomend me a full setup that comes in at about 200$ that offers great sound quality and bass, it doesn't have to be a simple plug/play thing like the Z313.

how much space do you have to work with? A dayton sub and lepia amp and speakers would cost about $200 but might take up too much space for you.

PC Audio Setup = Beyerdynamic DT 770 pro 80 ohm and Sennheiser pc37x (also for xbox) hooked up to Schiit Fulla 3

I've got plenty of space. Going to be using a table with a slight bit more surface area than a picnic table.

Micca MB42 + Lepai amp (or PB42 for integrated amp). Should be bassy enough for any small room, whereas something with a subwoofer is usually unnecessary bordering on bad. Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 aint bad if that's still what you think you want/need.

Lepai LP-2020A+ Tripath

Is that the amp you are talking about? It says it supports 20w per channel, and the MB42 speakers are 70w each. I assume this would be a problem?

That is the amp. Wattage ratings don't actually mean anything, and if they did, having fewer watts than the max the speakers can handle isn't a problem. "20W" amps are perfectly suitable for home listening.

Okay. Is there anything else I will need?

Cable if you don't already have some laying around. Either a 3.5mm male-male or 3.5mm male to RCA for between your PC and the amp, plus bare "speaker wire" for between the amp and the speakers (banana plugs optional for the speaker end of the cable).

OK. Thank you.

Will the amp be able to do Minecraft at 60fps?

Oh thank god.

It appears that some reviews state that that specific lepai amp is not able to power 8 ohm speakers very well, with low distortion, and the mb42s are apparently 8-4 ohms. Would this be perfectly fine, or what?
