Problem with PS3 Controller Drivers on Windows 8.1

Go to solution Solved by riceman2442,

I think I solved it. I plugged the controller in to another computer and it installed the drivers once it recognized the controller. Now the HID driver shows up on the device manager.

Edit: I also pressed the restore button on the back of my PS3 controller before plugging it in to my other PC

Hey Everyone

I was trying to connect my PS3 controller to my computer again because I restored the PC. The method I was using was loading drivers with motioninjoy then using Better DS3 to use the controller. I accidentally removed the HID driver from the controller and now it won't turn on unless It's plugged into the PS3 (It turns itself off the second I unplug it from the PS3). Now I need to know how to restore that HID driver. Any help is appreciated!

like firearm said...use SCP PS3. Some dude made the drivers and they actually work for almost everything.

NEVER GIVE UP. NEVER STOP LEARNING. DONT LET THE PAST HURT YOU. YOU CAN DOOOOO IT

I would use this method, but my controller doesn't turn on anymore due to removing that HID driver. I need to find a way to restore the HID driver then I can do this

Since I don't want another problem with Motioninjoy, I'll follow the instructions on the video firearm gave. I hope it works well!
