Fan vs Fan

Go to solution Solved by 1Scotty1,

Im just want as much cooling as possible. With that in mind would you suggest going for 3 fans?

Definitely :)

Guys, if you PC case has the option to have either 2 140mm fans or 3 120mm fans as front intake.. what would you go for?

Less bigger fans or more smaller fans?

Unless you want a radiator there it's not necessary to have any fans there at all.

You suggesting no front intake fans?

I don't have any, my temperatures are perfectly normal. I didn't have any in my old antec 100 either, no problems there either. In most cases the stock fan configuration in a care are fine. You only really need more if you go for multi-gpu configurations or if you're liquid cooling. Although I should probably have checked what your setup was before saying that ^^

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

The case has two 140mm fans as front intake which I will be upgrading mainly for aesthetics reason. While doing it I was curious if it was better to go with 3 120mm or stick with the 2 140mm fans.

I'm running GT980 in SLI.

I would go for the bigger two, unless you really need a massive extra push from a 3rd fan, the two 140's should move enough air to cool it down. plus because they are bigger they move more air at slower speeds, and therefore not as loud., a big plus in my book.
