Portable Gaming PC Suggestions

So I need a laptop for video editing and maxing out triple A titles but still thin, this is what I got so far but I don't know if any of them are good, and this is around my budget so you should get the idea for it.

Battery life is important as I will be using it in school as well 

 

2014 ASUS ROG GL551JK (i7-4710HQ, 12GB ram, 750GB HDD, GTX 850M) Height = 1.3"

 

MSI GS60 Ghost-013 (i7-4710HQ, 12GB ram, 256GB SSD, GTX 850M) Height = 0.78"

 

ASUS X X500JK-DH71 (i7-4710HQ, 8GB ram, 1TB HDD, GTX 850M) Height = 1.1"

 

ASUS ROG GL551JM (i7-4710HQ, 16GB ram, 1TB HDD, GTX 860M) Height = 1.3"

 

Acer VN7-591G Touchscreen (i7-4710HQ, 8GB ram, 1TB HDD, GTX 860M) Height = 0.94"

 

Lenovo Y50 UHD (i7-4710HQ, 16GB ram, 1TB HDD, GTX 860M) Height = 0.94"

 

ASUS N500JK-CM531H (i7-4710HQ, 8GB ram, 1TB HDD, GTX 850M) Height = 1.09"

 

Please do tell me if the cons the one you think is best

Go for the msi one , since most of these wont max out AAA games with 850m/860m and it has 12gb ram and ssd

You wont be maxing out AAA games on an 850m, the 860m is better but still not enough

 

Ideally you want a 970m if you want to run AAA games at 1080p 60, maxed out, but obviously you might not find these in budget

 

honestly I dont think you would be unhappy with any of those laptops, check out notebookcheck for reviews on them all, they are all pretty close for performance, - style, build quality and screen should all be reviewed on there though!!

 

check out some custom clevo/sager too,  you might be able to spec one up for a good price

So only the JM can have a sdd put in later

you can put an ssd in most laptops that have a HDD , just by replacing it with the ssd . I chose the jm just because it has higher other specs

Oh, if you are going clevo/sager go to somewhere custom, you can choose the parts and get a custom build - you can make it cheaper by choose cheaper ram and storage options, and add in the CPU and GPU you want (and upgrade the storage later)

 

if possible anyway, tons of companies use clevo as barebones to build custom machines

performance here, 1080p high settings 60fps are not possible for most games, maybe medium, or playing at lower resolutions

It's cool, I don't mind. I'm building a desktop with a 4790k and gtx 980. The laptop is mainly for video editing with some gaming like GTA 5 and the witcher 3 where they are out
