This is my first build. How is that system going to perform (i have a rough idea). Any suggestions are appreciated and could someone recommend a monitor. Thanks.

My budget is $1000 max which includes comp and peripherals and os.

You dont need to spend 800$ for a gokd rig. I'll make you a system for around 500$ just a moment

If I remember correctly we used the same gpu so high-med settings 1080p 40-60fps. Depending on the game. Look at some benchmarks to get the exact number.

The most important thing I changed here is the cpu. Yes, the pentium k can be oc'd but you need a z97 mobo which are too expensive for such a budget. Also the i3 will beat out the pentium in most cases because it has 4 threads and hyperthreading. Pair that with an h81 (which has enough usb ports and everything) and you get incredible price/performance.

Hope you got an idea
