Would this be a good gaming PC for the price?

Are there any parts that I should switch out to increase the performance without increasing the price a ton?

Should I get liquid cooling instead of an air cooler?

Everything except for that cooler... I suppose you're planning on overclocking, I would recommend at LEAST the H80i by Corsair. Or just a better air cooler if you prefer.

I'd personally go with this, you've still got room to SLI and it's gone up to a 1440P monitor.
I realize that it's the G1 version of the 750W but it's not really worth paying near double the price for the G2.
You can also swap out the monitor for a 1080p 120/144 hz one if you want high refresh rate.

Very nice.

You might consider going with one of the EVGA SCX 2.0 gpu models to better match the case. The performance is close enough not to matter.

The 850 EVO, Samsung MZ-75E250B/AM, is actually less expensive and better performing than the 840 EVO.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

Thanks, I replaced the SSD

Never said it wasn't capable boss, I was simply saying if he's going to OC and he's a gamer, I would recommend a better cooler.

Just because it's capable doesn't mean you shouldn't get one that performs better for his OCs.

Fair enough, 212 hyper evo is everyone's favourite cooler. Unless OP Want's to spend an extra $65..

he said he is gamer, 16 gigs is useless

ON: this will be a monster for gaming :)

A computer is never only used for gaming. RAM is inexpensive and a cheap way to keep your system relevant for longer. More than 8 gig is not useless

2k ain't cheap, but what he is paying for is performance and value.

You recommendation is completely out of scope.

Don't be an idiot.

Yeah go buy $100 expensiver CPU for 2FPS more. OMG so dump.

Use that $100 for extra SSD, HDD or even GTX 980!
