Budget & Location:$300 to 400, U.S

Aim:some gaming but mainly for productivity and messing around with Virtual machines

Monitors:i will be using a 32 inch tv i already own, will like to upgrade to a three monitor set up in the future

Peripherals:i already have a keyboard/mouse and an OS

would like an AMD build

AMD because the price to performance is better

I still think that you should go with Intel since there is a better upgrade path and single core performance is better than multi.

Problem is that AMD has a dead upgrade path and they such for virtual machnines (intel probably beats it in productivity as well)

It has an oc-able cpu but a mobo that doesn't support ocing. Yes, the pentium K benefits greately from overclocking but I can't fit a Z97 mobo in that budget. Plus, you would also need an oc-able mobo (which is more expensive) if you would go with amd because something like the fx-4xxx are also oc-able cpus and you would also need a third-party cooler. 

 

Sorry mate, but you can't have everything perfect what you wanted in that price range, I even had to go 35$ beyond your limit. What about buying a used case or ram? Why not buy 1 big ultrawide monitor instead of 3 1080p monitors and maybe save up something for a better pc?
