Time for a upgrade?

I bult my pc a few years ago now and now i am feeling like i want somthing new. So the question is do i upgrade or a clean slate.

My system spec is as follows.

 

Cpu: AMD Phenom X4 965 Black Edition 3.7 GHz clock

 

Gpu: XFX HD 6870 DD

 

Motherboard: Asus M5A7BL/USB3

 

RAM: 1X Patriot 8GB

 

Storage: 120GB SSD Boot drive, 2 X 2TB in raid 0,

 

Case: Zelman Z9 plus

 

PSU: OCZ 500W DIY sleeved (by me)

 

Think thats everything, So the question is what do i keep what do i replace. i have around £500 to spend . Cant wait to see what you think!

If going to OC, go with a z97 and an i5 4690k.

You should get i5 4690k with a Hyper 212 evo if your going to overclock.

Ofc, but he could at that later if he wanted to OC. it gives him some more room down the road.
