Are you meaning for recording YouTube footage or editing it? Is this for gaming? Myself and I would think a number of others are a little lost.

This is assuming you mean watching youtube, not creating videos for youtube. This also does not include the OS or any peripherals.

CPU: AMD A6-3650 2.6GHz Quad-Core Processor ($74.98 @ Outlet PC)

Motherboard: Asus F1A55-M LE Micro ATX FM1 Motherboard ($49.99 @ Newegg)

Memory: Corsair XMS3 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($37.99 @ Newegg)

Storage: OCZ Vertex 3 90GB 2.5" Solid State Disk ($79.99 @ Microcenter)

Case: Apex DM-387 HTPC Case w/275W Power Supply ($48.99 @ Amazon)

Optical Drive: Lite-On iHOS104-06 Blu-Ray/DVD/CD Drive ($34.98 @ Newegg)

Total: $326.92

(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

And this is pretty overkill already for playing youtube and 1080p videos.

Additionally, you could spend more on a better case and more reliable PSU.

Silver stone series of cases are very nice and fit into a home theatre set-up but can be a tad on the expensive side

Taking in to account what you said, here is a nice little build for a just under $500.

-AMD A6-5400K 3.6GHz Dual-Core Processor $69.99 (NCIX US)

-Cooler Master GeminII M4 58.4 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler $33.94 (NCIX US)

-ASRock FM2A75M-ITX Mini ITX FM2 Motherboard $89.99 (Amazon)

-Kingston 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3-1333 Memory $16.98 (NCIX US)

-Corsair Force Series GS 180GB 2.5" Solid State Disk $149.99 after MIR (Newegg)

-Thermaltake VL52021N2U Mini ITX Desktop Case w/200W Power Supply $64.99 (Amazon)

-Lite-On iHOS104-06 Blu-Ray/DVD/CD Drive $34.98 (Newegg)

Total: $460.86

This includes tax and shipping but not an operating system. I would recommend Windows 7 if you want Windows Media Center. There are also home theater programs for Linux though. Keep in mind that it uses a Trinity APU and not a Llano APU, so you get the future upgrade-ability of the FM2 socket.
