New Rig

So i was planing on building a gaming pc later in the future but my laptop is having some issues ( it goes into sleep mode sometimes when bump slightly on anything and when picked up). i would have bought a another temporary laptop but i though i could just start to build my gaming rig with that money. My current budge is $500 but i would like it to be least then that. Since im going to upgrade it possibly at the end of this this or next year i was thinking the i should get the motherboard, cpu, case, and power supply that i was going to put in my original $2000 pc rig. The reason im kinda rushing to get this build is because im in a programming class and i need to get my laptop fixed. If i could get my laptop fixed quickly i would save up money for a later build.
