Alright sorry for this i would just like some help basically my freind is giving me a core 2 duo mobo for it and 4GB of ram and is willing to sell me a gtx680 (4GB) he has for 200$ Or i could use that money to buy a z97 mobo and a g3258 i just wanted to ask what would be best.

Well to play games coming out in the future and even some from the past I'd want the z97 mobo with the G3258 and I'd OC that cpu and push it til it is dead eventually and then upgrade the cpu when pricing is a little different.  I would go the new stuff route if I knew I could afford a reasonable video card in the not so distant future.

Get a Z97 with a G3258 and then upgrade to an i5 4690/k in the future. If you are getting the G3258 make sure you overclock even if you are using the stock cooler.
