High pagefile usage

Hey guys,

My pagefile usage is at 4GB all the time, even when I don't have much running. Do you know what's going on?
 

Large progarams that I'm using: 
Chrome (3 tabs open)

LibreOffice (200mb)
Catalyst Control Centre (150mb)

Spotify (120mb)

LINE messenger (120mb)

 

I have a full 8GB of RAM, and if I play a game like LoL, my pagefile usage suddenly goes up to 8GB, even without me doing anything. 

 

I run Windows 7 64 bit, and do virus scans on a regular basis. The system is quite new, without any problems so far.

I would recommend letting Windows manage your pagefile, it sounds like it's set to 4GB "manually".

Run sysdm.cpl from start menu/run box, then go to Advanced>Settings>Advanced>Change. Check to see if "Custom Size" is enabled. if so, I recommend choosing to let Windows manage your pagefile size.

That's normal windows recommends your page file is set to min ~1/2 your RAM which is exactly what yours is (mine is 5.6GB and I have 12GB ram)

It's dynamic....I also use 8GB, mine is 1.2GB....my workstation is 16GB, it's 2.2GB. Both are managed automatically.

I set mine to 1024MB (1GB)
