I got a 500gig Samsung 850 evo. I just switched out my motherboard and did a fresh install of windows. before the change I had 465 gigs available with the other board. Now I got 449 gigs. lol. What the hell did I do ????

It's like when you put two socks in the dyer. One always goes missing.

 

 

Actually I'm not sure, I've never put an SSD in an existing system, etc.

Fresh install of Windows means it probably has a different partition configuration than previously, and the space you're "missing" is taken up by another partition that previously didn't exist.
