If you can budget everything a little more I wouldn't mind having a SDD. You could even replace the HHD with one because I don't go crazy buying games, I only have about 20GB of games on my hard drive at the moment. Things I do want in my build: The case, and the GPU. Thanks.

Nothing will really bottleneck, but your build could be a lot better with that budget.

Purpose of build?

Don't want a faster gpu?

Gaming, Web browsing, both at the same time (I can't do that on my current computer).  I play Skyrim, League Of Legends, CS:GO, and Don't Starve Together.

The GPU is a sweet spot for me, does everything I need it to. If you can budget it out by all means do it.

Let me tell you a secret: the build is crap.

Get a locked i5, and the r9 280(x). Maybe even the 290, or the gtx 970 if you can afford it.

Heyy bro,

Good stuff here. Since it's less that $1000 I can't really suggest much else. There's just 2 things that I would do differently.

1. Getting an SSD - if it's over your budget, my bad. But I really think that an SSD is nesesary. You'll definitely appreciate the boot time and the loading time for your games like cs and lol.

2. Windows 7 - since windows 10 is coming out soon, you can get an upgrade from widows 7,8,8.1 to win 10 for free. So I'd just say buy the cheapest one and use it for the time being.

Haswell Refresh CPU incompatibility detected. When using Haswell Refresh CPUs, make sure to pick an H97 or Z97 mobo. Alternatively, when using H81 / B85 or Z87 mobos, make sure to use a non-Haswell Refresh processor.

Touché.

Honestly I had a different setup in there originally, and swapped out the motherboard, and forgot to check compatibility. Should be fixed now.

Another example, this time with a 270 and a 128gb ssd.

By no means am I the best person to be speccing out builds, but the examples show what you can do for your budget. There are likely better choices whether subjective or objective for each category.

I also like the ssd. It does make the whole system feel more responsive.

Windows 7 Oem is the same price as 8.1.
