Hey guys,

Graphics card for laptop

What do you guys think of graphics card for a laptop, what is the best graphics card for the price you pay?

I know there are good graphic cards, and I dont need to hear the best cards, but just the one that is GOOD and not too expensive.

And I got another question,

What is the difference between the Nvidia:

900,800,700 etc. series?

AMD or Nvidia?

And, for gaming, which do you prefer? AMD or Nvidia? And why?

Thanks in advance.

Max

I don't think you'll find a worthwhile laptop that uses a discrete AMD graphics card.

Also, 'good' and 'not too expensive' is up to anyone's interpretation.

Get one that suits your needs.

A laptop that uses a later series of mobile GPU will consume less power for the same level of performance.

You'll want a 900 series GPU if you can.

Also we don't know where you are and how much you're willing to spend. Something that is $700 here might be over $1000 somewhere else.

With good and not too expensive I mean,

you can buy a graphics card for €600,- and having like 100fps on bf4 high settings,

or buy an other graphics card for €300,- that has 60 fps on high in bf4.

It is half of the money but more than the half of fps.

That is what i mean with good and not too expensive, because in this example you can better buy the €300,- one because the price for the fps you get is better.

In that case its anyone's wild guess. I haven't the slightest idea of what costs what where you live (I don't know that either)

And you can't just swap out or install a graphics card into a laptop. You buy a laptop that suits your needs and the GPU is not the only thing to consider when buying a laptop.

Yes, I know, but Iam not experienced with a buying a GPU, but Iam with the rest, that is why Iam asking only for the GPU.

Thanks for your help :)

you don't chose a laptop based on its gpu you chose one based on you budget.

€900-1000 is about the minimum you'll need to spend to get a half decent experience gaming on a laptop.
