So I've been putting off getting my cert for a while and I started researching the tests and things and every practice test was ridiculously easy (one question was "What does USB stand for". I was wondering how accurate are these? Can I actually judge the difficulty of the cert exams from the practice tests, including the one's on compTIA's website?

P.S. Anyone have Microsoft MTA? Is that one as easy as I've heard?

A+ and the Network+ exams are a breeze. Just go over the past papers until you can confidently get 90%+ in all of them. As for the MTAs, yes, they are pretty easy.

Well, I have a computer hardware/repair professional cert from TestOut, which from what I've seen is more difficult than the CompTIA exam (it has interactive labs and shit instead of being multiple choice).

I've taken some practice tests for the comptia A+ cert, and I will admit, some of the questions on there were quite stupid indeed. (I got I think it was a 95% on one practice, and a 90% on another, that was before taking my computer hardware class in which I got my comp hardware/repair professional cert from testout within the first 3 weeks of the class, we are supposed to have all semester to get the cert.)
