check your temp first if you can get through the temp section. if it's ok, check your PSU. 

 

maybe some BIOS update will help. did you can go to windows without crashing?

do you have a speaker attached to the mobo as its beeps would be the easiest way to determine the issue.

first take out all the ram and put in 1 stick and try again, move that 1 stick into each slot and try it. repeat this process with all the ram sticks and all the slot. if this fails it's not the ram.

I'd then unplug all peripherals excluding the hard drive and try again.

if you can get another power supply or borrow one that would be my next port of call.

also in the bios check the cpu is detected. if it's not that could be the issue. youre is on the very elderly side.
