Apollo music player

So starting of this review, sadly the only way of obtaining this media player is through Cynogen Mod (A custom ROM), it's not available on the Play Store, all you will get are themes (on the Play Store)

I am reviewing using OEM earbuds that come with the HTC One and the HTC One

here's how to Root and get Cynogen Mod (don't worry, latest nightly ROMs have been very stable for me)

Rooting

Installing custom ROM (specifically Cynogen)

ok, so I have been testing this with some of my EDM (bass heavy stuff and more mid-high songs, and it actually sounded better than something like PowerAmp, a premium music player that goes for $4 on the Play Store

Coupled with the fact that you can mess with equalizers within the OS, makes Cynogen pretty much a much get for anyone who cares for their audio. Bass sounds smooth and not overwhelming, and highs are very clear. I am currently using the OEM earbuds for this testing, so you can get MUCH better results using some 3rd party headphones/earbuds

let's disect one song for a comparison "Adapt, Evolve, Survive" (free download)

so let's start

everything sounds clear, the bass and melody are clear, and don't overwhelm each other, vocals are warm, and everything is precise, and fortes and pianissimos make differences, and really do go quiet and then burst, overall, amazing for what mobile has to offer

just wanted to shed some light on this, it also has some a ton of themes available for it, all in the Play Store

that will conclude my review, anyone who has Cynogen Mod put your opinions in the comments below

*EDIT*

there will be a Apollo player for android, rooted or non-rooted, problem is it has ads and cost a buck to get an ad-free version

Installing custom ROM video has rooting video embedded.

And is this even news?
