I realize this doesn't apply to every place that builds PCs, but this one is kinda bugging me. So in my town there is a Computer Warriors shop and they do PC stuff. I stumbled across an ad of theirs on craigslist and found:

http://wilmington.craigslist.org/syd/4913943399.html

This system is used and they want $2200 for it.

So i went to PC part picker and made something with similar price:

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2hQG6h

And for 33$ more I can make a better system that is new. I didn't even pick value options, I just kinda picked what I saw. Why do these places feel the need to abuse people's lack of knowledge and make a sweet profit? I wish I could start up my own little business, I would be making it fair for everyone.

Rant over :D

....I'll probably regret this later lol

At the end of the day, it's business. And  businesses such as a random PC shop will gladly overcharge a product if an idiot is willing to hand over the cash.

It may seem unfair, but that's life in general tbh.

It just rubs me the wrong way. Like for me I would gladly build PCs for people and just charge like $50 to put it together. They pay the part prices and give me just a little to save them the trouble of putting it together.

Aye, but at the end of the day, businesses need to make money to stay afloat. And in the IT/Tech area of business, there's a lot of clueless people out there whom can be fleeced.

They do it because that's business. Me and some of my friends are actually planning on opening a PC shop around town because we don't have one for miles unless you count Best Buy....

that seem like a reasonable price. If you go on something like origin PC or one of the others and put in the same specs your looking at over $3000

also not everyone can build a computer so paying someone to do it should cost you something.

I don't think they even built it, since it is used.
