Hi!

I just got my 7770 today but i can't connect both screens to it, so i want to use the iGPU too but i cant get it working.

My 7770 has dvi-a, hdmi and dp.

Motherboard is an  ASUS M4A78LT-M, has dvi-d and vga, and i want to connect 2 screens, one with dvi-d and one with vga.

The screen with dvi-d is an acer S231HL (full-hd, nothing special)

The other one is a Belina dont't know what type, its a 17 inch screen with a max res of 1280x1024 and only accepts vga.

I tried to connect my acer to the 7770 and the belinea to the motherboard but only the acer works.

If i remove my 7770 and connect both screens to the motherboard it works fine, so the iGPU does work.

As far as i can see the settings in my bios should be good (iGPU detection before PCIE detection, iGPU has 1gb ram and in windows i have 7gig of the 8gig avalible like it should be)

Drivers don't detect the iGPU or the second monitor.

If this is really impossible i will go for adaptors, but i am not sure which one i actually need.

For the belinea i will need a dvi-vga adaptor (that's the only analog output the 7770 has).

But i don't know how i can get to dvi for my acer screen, it supports dvi-d and i want a digital signal, and as far as i know hdmi and dp are also digital but i prefer to have just passive adaptors (passive adaptors cant really die, active ones can).

Thank you!

ps: im dutch so english is probably not great... sorry :(

English:

When pluging in an External GPU the iGPPU usually gets disabled. There was some kind of Workaround to let it being enabled but ic ant remember it.

German:

Wenn du eine externe Grafikkarte verwendest, wird die integrietre GPU automatisch ausgeschaltet. Es gab mal so nen trick, wie beide nutzbar waren, jedoch errinere ich mich gerade nicht daran.

It's an amd board, i dont have that option, and i forced in the bios to detect the iGPU first so i'm sure it gets activated during the boot. 1GB is indeed a bit too much but i never even use 7GB of ram so that's not a problem.

Just tried to update the drivers but i keep getting a bsod during installation. iGPU and 7770 uses the same driver (both amd).

Little update: tried to install the drivers again, tried a couple of versions, no bsod's anymore during installation but the driver cant detect any gpu's now, but if i check device manager (i think its called like that, its a list with all the devices of your pc) both gpu's are detected, the iGPU should work fine, but is doesnt (second screen is still getting no input) and the 7770 can't start because it can't find the drivers it needs. So i don't think it will ever work.

Now i want to use adaptors because that's the only solution (if you have others, let me know)

But i still don't know which adaptors i need (check first post for more details).

It would be nice if anyone knows which one i need.

Thanks for the quick reactions.

VirtuMVP can't find the iGPU... Don't know why because if i check device manager it should work fine, but the drivers can't find it and my secondary screen gets no input.
