Hey all I recently bought this rig. First time build and instal of windows on it.

MOBO: Asus Ranger VII

RAM: 2X4GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz

CPU: i5-4690

I format'd my 16GB use drive to FAT32 and installed Windows 8.1 PRO from http://windows.microsoft.com/en-IE/windows-8/create-reset-refresh-media

How do I boot from this drive? Its showing up in the BIOS in the boot priorities and boot override but when I go to start from boot override it dose nothing, screen goes black for a sec then back to BIOS.

I selected ISO download btw not usb cause I thought you could just transfer with usb

When you boot the computer there should be a button for "Boot Option" if I'm not mistaken, spam F11 and you should be allowed to choose where to boot at.

1) ISO is an image file for writing to a disc

2) You don't need to format the USB, the installation tool will format it appropriately automatically

3) You need to select the USB option if you're putting it onto a USB.

Format the USB to fat32, then copy all content from windows 8.1 iso into the USB and boot into it.
