Consoles cannot output 120hz. I'm not sure which one to get either, I hear 1080p looks awful on a 27" but so does it on 23-24"

Honestly I lost interest in 120hz monitors now that they are so expensive and they are only on TN panels and limited to 1080p.

You want 120Hz with good colour quality?

If you are getting a 120Hz monitor the colours won't be great because they are using TN panels. If you want good colour reproduction you have to go for something that is PLS or IPS panels or something similar, I would always go for a higher resolution PLS/IPS monitor rather than a faster TN monitor any day.

  • 24" or 27"
  • don't get the one with built in nvidia emmitter.  (besides a pain to set up at first since it goes through the dvi cable, and not separate usb) Can buy emmitter/glasses separate and put it where you want it.

From that list I would get the VG278HE

Biased opinion here, since I have 27" haha.  I use a samsung 27" with my ps3.  But I don't bother with the speakers on it (ew).  I use the optical out or the sony pulse elite headset (frakn awesome pair!)

My Rigs (past and present)
