All onboard audio sounds good these days.

Unless you happen to be rocking Professional Hi-Fi headphones you'll notice no difference between a soundcard and onboard audio on even a lower end board.

All boards that are worth considering -- anything from Asrock, Asus, EVGA, Gigabyte, or MSI -- will sound good. I don't really consider Biostar, ECS, Foxconn, etc... to be an option.

My ASrock board sucks. But im off topic. The board that OP was asking about should be very good.

I went from Asus Maximus V Formula to Rampage V Extreme and Formula was sounding much better. I am not satisfied with sound coming from Rampage onboard. I will probably buy a new soundcard.
