I'm kind of a newbie at this whole PC thing and I need some help with my first build I will be doing within the next month. I greatly appreciate any kind of suggestion or help with this, as I've never done it before and you guys(and girls) are experts. Here is my build.

CPU- AMD Athlon 760k

Graphics Card- EVGA GTX 960 SSC

MB- Gigabyte A88X AM2 Socket

RAM- Kingston HyperX Fury 8GB(2x4GB)

SSD- Samsung 850 EVO 250 GB SSD

HDD- WD Green 2TB

Power Supply- Corsair CX430M

Case- Corsair SPEC-01

All running Windows 8.1

I thank you in advance for any and all help. I really am just looking for some assurance that these parts all work together and will not crash and burn, along with some tips to keep it running smoothly for a long time. Please and thank you.

CPU:Intel i5 4690k GPU:EVGA GTX 970 SSC Motherboard:MSI Z97 G45 RAM:Kingston HyperX Fury 8GB PSU:Corsair CX600M SSD:Crucial MX100 256GB HDD:Seagate 3TB Case:Corsair SPEC-02

looks good to me...

Personally I'd swap the athlon for a g3258 because of the better upgrade path on LGA 1150 and get a 280 over the 960 because 3gb VRAM and it's a bit faster

Want a good game to play?  Check out Shadowrun: http://store.steampowered.com/app/300550/ (runs on literally any hardware)

another 12 core / 24 thread senpai...     (/. _ .)/     \(. _ .\)

now you have 67.46 for peripherals and if you want a CPU cooler .This video card can handle 4K,but if you want another GFX card then you need a more powerful power supply but you can get a 4k moniter instead if you want. Also overclocking ready for that i5 on this video Linus overclocks the G3258 to 4.4GHZ with the stock CPU cooler so you could do the same.

This would be going all out only for tower. Dunno if you already have peripherals and stuff like that, if not probably step it down to 4690K and GTX970/R9 290X

My modded Air 540 build

Spoiler
