Hello LTT members,

I am going to study game programming and I need a laptop for this study. I don't really know what laptop brands I should be looking at (used to building my own desktop PC).

I am very picky when it comes to the parts.

The requirements I have:

- Quad core CPU (thinking of an i7, might go with dual core, i5 CPU. I also want haswell, because of the better power consumption)

- Nvidia GPU (we are going to do stuff with CUDA)

- 1920x1080 or 1920x1200 screen resolution

- 14 inch to 15.6 inch screen (needs to fit in my backpack ;) )

- HDD needs to be replaceable with an SSD, or it has to come with an SSD

I am thinking about spending around €1000.

I was thinking of the MSI GE60-2OC http://www.msi.com/product/nb/GE60-2OC.html

Moved to Mobile Devices

Aah, that's where it belongs, was not sure in which it belonged so I put it in general.

I first thought mobile devices were only phones and tablets, but when I think about it (get it, your profile image :P). A laptop is a mobile device xD

I am not going to get a Razer Blade, because I have had a lot of bad luck with Razer products (it's either works great or has a lot of problems) and it's about €1000 above my budget xD
