My friend removed cpu cover without knowing is it still ok to install the cpu anyway?

Yeah, I've seen a build guide where they removed it. Just be careful as always

I guess you mean that little plastic cover on your socket. If yes, yeah it's still okay to install the CPU.

Just make sure there isn't anything on the pins.
