Help port forwarding

Guest
Go to solution Solved by Noxxx,

if you don't have a server at port 7777, then of course port checker would say something like connection timed out or connection refused, so you got to start a server first or use a Linux system to test (port 22)

I Port forwarded 7777 correctly as far as I know, but port checkers online disagree.

This is more or less what my GUI looks like

So here's what I did, I entered the LAN address of my PC at the first step, 192.168.0.--

For starting and ending I typed 7777

For protocol I used TCP and UDP

Then I left #4 the same

and clicked apply.

After checking, it still doesn't work.

port checkers may be saying "not open" but it is?? Im guessing this is for a server. if so, did anyone were able to join?

If you dont have anything listening on port 7777, there is no way to check if its open.

Start running whatever you are setting up and try again. Another way to check if the port is open is to use telnet.

Simply type "telnet <ip-address> <port>"

Tux is a lie.
