Uplay not Launching

Uplay isn't launching, I can click the icon and it comes up as running Task Manager, but it doesnt ever actually launch. It does this even when I run as an admin.

I tried running it through a game executable and it doesn't work, also uninstalling doesnt work either

My GPU History: GTS 250, 7790, 7850, GTX 660ti, 7870XT, 7970, 280X, 280X Crossfire, 290, 290X, Fury X, 390 Crossfire, Fury Crossfire, 1070, 1080, 1080ti.

My CPU History: Pentium 4, Pentium E5300, Core 2 Quad QX 9650, Intel Xeon 1230 v3, 4790K, 3930K, 5820K, 1700, 3700X.

Nope. i can lof in to the website and the companion app

Try closing it in the task manager, the re-opening it.

Did you clean the registry after you uninstalled Uplay the first time? if not you should so then restart your PC then install Uplay again.

I am having the same exact problem and would also love a solution. I also tried re-installing, restarting, and starting as admin and nothing worked. About a month ago this worked fine but then I stopped playing for a while and now its not working.

Dont uninstall Uplay:

 

Try

My Uplay would not re-install as it said my version was upto date.  However one solution posted on the above link was to open version.txt in the uplay directory and delete the text inside and save. 

 

Now dowload the uplay installer again and run it.  It worked for me.
