So I had some curiosity about how my Kingston HyperX 3K 240GB SSD performs inside of a benchmark utility. (I have had this drive for at least a year and a half by this point). So I found and used 3 free softwares "AS SSD", "CrystalDiskMark", and "ATTO Disk Benchmark". All three programs gave me generally the same read speeds (other than CrystalMark which was slightly lower than the other two) BUT all three gave me very different write speeds,. particularly in the sequential writes. The lowest from AS SSD=162.24MB/s the mid range from CrystalMark=243.7MB/s and the highest (at about the advertised speed) from ATTO=523.776MB/s. Do any of these programs have a better reputation from the others? ALSO to make sure people are aware, I have my drive in AHCI mode and it is connected to a SATA 3 6gb/s port. I have provided a snapshot of all three benchmarks together.
