La Noire PC question.

Hey everyone. 

 

I just purchased LA Noire after remembering how much I enjoyed it on my xbox and to keep me anticipated for GTA V. I have found something strange and am a bit unsure, would you mind helping me a little?

 

In the settings I have chosen to run everything on max and the resolution at 1920x1080x60 <------- this is one of my problems.

I chose the 60 fps option but the game seems to be syncing to 30 fps. I have been looking for an option to disable it but can not find it. 

Has the game got a v-sync option or is it locked at 30fps? If it is a lock at 30, why is it locked? (I'm sure there is a good reason as I don't think Rockstar would lock it without one)

Also, if it is a lock, why give us the option to run the game at 60fps or higher if you choose a lower resolution?

Im sure it can run it as it has the specs to run GTA V when it is relased:

Intel i5 4690k @4.4GHz

16GB 186MHz RAM

Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming @ 1555Mhz Core

I think because to make the motion capture system work (lest on the PS3/360) they HAD to use 30, not 60.

That sucks but I can see why they did it. So that's the lock part answered, why give the option to run the game over 30fps then?

Could be to just give the illusion of 60 fps. Most people probably don't bother looking in to it.
