game moving

Go to solution Solved by Oberon.Smite,

Basically, I did the same thing yesterday when I got a new HDD.

Format that SSD. Make a new folder called Steam through windows if you need too.

Open windows explorer. Go to

computer

the drive with your orginal files

go to program files (x86)

steam

common

copy all the games you want to move

ok in steam go to the top bar

settings

downloads

create new steam folder

choose the drive

make and name the folder

now, go to the new folder

paste your games

go to steam

games

click delete local content for those games

ok now go to the game in the store, click download

now tell steam to install it on the new drive

steam will detect the old files and put the game back into the library

You need to make a folder inside your new drive and call it whatever (EX Steam) and then choose that for your new location.
