My computer randomly freezes out of nowhere. When it freezes, you can't do anything, no task manager, no nothing. The hdd light also turns off completely. Every time it happens I have to hold the power button to turn it off and then turn it on, this gets really annoying. I have found that it happens sometimes when I am starting it and there is just a black screen and the hdd light goes off, so I have to restart it. Another place that it happens a lot is when I click troubleshoot my problems for network, in which it freezes when it is resetting the network adapter. Please help me with this. All I can think of is that it could be the hard drive.
Thanks

do as the other post said before mine ;)

it sounds like a hdd problem, try and switch your sata port on the mobo, if this does not work, try a new sata cable.

if this does not work either then try and put the hdd in another computer and see if it works.
