painting heatsinks

i got a new mobo and want to paint the heatsinks on it but i dont know if it will have a negative affect or what the best paint to use is. anyone have any experience in this topic and give me any tips?

I painted my mobo heatsinks on my z97 system with paint from hobby lobby that is used for model cars. The only "negative" effect is that it voids the warrenty so if you want to avoid that use plastidip. With plastidip you can just peel it off incase you need to rma it.

Doesn't surprise me hobbylobby paint works. I used to be into RC truck racing and that stuff isn't bad,but I personally would go plastidip incase of RMAing.
