YU3 cords and sub

Hey guys,

 

I just got a new pair of YU3 in the mail from Massdrop a couple weeks ago (https://www.massdrop.com/buy/kanto-yu3-speakers/talk) and currently it is connect to my computer via AUX. Is this affecting the sound quality by being connected through AUX and not another solution? 

 

Also, any recommendations for a sub?
