Give it a minute or two to load everything, then you should be fine.

 

Perhaps try disabling some startup programs in msconfig.exe

Is your HDD activity LED blinking or is a solid light? Be more specific please

it might be a sign the HDD is going to the heavens

 

time to do a backup and verify with Crystal Disk Info

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

My brand new dive does it its he has too much crap loading.

well you need to do disk cleanup and disk defrag

 

if the HDD light is solid, it mean it trying to access some bad sectors
