Internet random drops

Hey guys!

 

So... i'm on Virgin Media. 50Mbps. Old superhub.

 

I play games online just like my roommates.

 

However we all get occasional drops. 

 

We tend to always be on 3/4 Bars in stead of 4/4. Then it every now and again drops down to 1/4.

 

Anyone give any advice on how to maybe sort this out without contacting Virgin? They are literally no help and won't send us on of the new Superhub's.

 

PS. I know it can't be Virgin's 50Mbps speed as at home my connection is always 4/4.
