Would I require a higher DPI/CPI mouse playing at higher resolution i.e I right now have a 1366x786 monitor and use a 800 DPI mouse so If i switch to 1080p in future which I am planing on doing so would a require a better mouse

You may notice your mouse is slightly slower at moving from one side of the screen to the other at the higher resolution, but do you require a new mouse?That is something you will have to decide when your on your new monitor.

Define better mouse.. higher DPI? no. Most people still game at 400 DPI regardless of the resolution.

 

Better? If you're using a laser mouse or one with a poor optical sensor you can always step up to the next level buy getting a better optical mouse.

 

For example one with the Avago ADNS-3310 optical sensor or the Avago S3988.

DPI really doesn't matter that much, companies try to show outrageous DPI numbers but gamers "over hype" DPI.
