As the title says this is what I am shooting for. I am also up for duel monitors. I7 4790k is a must because I want to give ocing a go this time around. Also red and black is the color scheme to go for. Thanks in advance.

...

This is just a quick idea.

I didn't include any monitors or periphals.

Thats something you should choose yourself.

I wouldn't use a 4790k just for gaming. The i5-4690k would've been a better choice, but you wanted the 4790k, so I included it.

Here, red and black. Partpicker is being a bit stupid with the CPU cooler; you can find it on newegg here. But it's the best CPU cooler evar, so it is worth it.

At any rate, the build lacks peripherals, but those HAVE to be bought in real life. Just trust me on this one, and go to a local store to buy your mouse and keyboard. Enjoy:

@Tim Drake @Imakuni is there a reason for not using a single gtx 980? Also that liquid cooling looks cool but weird at the same time because of the reservoir location. Also wouldn't 16 vb of ram be better than 8 in that build?

Because 2x 970 crushes the 980, while only being a tiny bit more expensive. The only reason for buying 980s is if you are going 4k. Since that's not the case, 2x970 is better.

About the cooler... uh... the problem being? Every single AIO cooler has that reservoir on top of the CPU. The only difference being, that others are non-transparent, so you can't actually see that they are there.

16gbs of RAM is completely useless if you are only gaming. 16gbs only makes sense if you'll also be doing video rendering, but since you didn't say anything about it, we decided to stick with 8gbs. Besides, you can always upgrade later.

My builds better ;)

Two 970s has better price to performance than a single 980.
