Please do. I didn't stress test my i7 for long enough and I had my PC crash while writing a shcool report.

I recommend 12+ hours of straight testing through Intel Extreme Tuning Utility to verify, and 24 hours if you really want to know its stable.

I dont stress test for 12 hours as jj from asus put it "if an overclock is unstable itll usually be apparent and fail within half an hour or even 10 minutes" so is tress for an hour (sometimes 2 if i forget...)
turns out allot of stress tests do it differently, aida64 and prime 95 do it differently so just because its 12 hours stable on one doesnt mean its actually stable
you can stress for 3 days on both of them separately, doesnt mean windows wont crash because...windows.
run 1 for an hour or 2 and then the other and you'll probably be okay, everyone has different comfort levels.

oh and cinebench is a short test, itll be maxed out for maybe a minute, if your overclocking hard core tis a quick test just to see if its even 1 minute stable, but its not actually a stress test per-se.
also gaming isnt a cpu stress test at all, maybe league of legends will stress 1 core at 100% but most decent games are multi threaded and evenly threaded, thats why going from an i5 to an i7 or i7e doesnt net any performance and why most people mistakenly think "there's no point getting an i7 as most games dont use all that power and a quad core is plenty for gaming" completely missing the point of having overhead to do things other than gaming......while your gaming.

Yeah I agree... I had stress tested mine for 7 hours straight with good temps and no blue screens only to have it crash while typing a report in word.... Never again. But yeah it depends on your comfort levels completely.

12 hours on an Asus mobo ? naaah i don't need it mate .on new asus mobos if its stable for 20 mints means its stable for 2 years . that what i experiences by my old OCs

i'm sorry for the red part . its really hard to bear when you are in middle of a report and it shuts down .lol.

It's good that Office 2013 has an autosave option at least. :)

I usually stress test for 16-18h, but that's just me. Everyone has his own opinion and experiences on this topic.
