black is (stupidly) referring to the keyboard color.

MX Browns with o-ring dampeners. IMO dampeners add a little more resistance and feel a more like membrane keys when bottom out.

Also, would you recommend this keyboard or the corsair k70 browns rgb

Well, one is RGB and a lot more expensive than the other....so, thats something you need to decide.

But I personally prefer the K70 to the G710+.

Also, which keyboard are u currently using?

I had a brown Cooler Master Quickfire Rapid, and something was just off about it (and I'm still not sure what) -- it may be my desk is too high, I don't like browns, or the shape of the keys is just not for me (I haven't used the k70/ducky on the same desk as the quickfire rapid, so I haven't been able to narrow down the issue with it). Then I got a red K70, which I loved until I eventually replaced it with a clear Ducky Shine mini as the Ducky fit my desk/use better (I prefer 60% sized keyboards); but I do still really like the K70 -- I'd just like it more if I could cut off everything to the right of the actual typing part of the keyboard and turn it into a 60% keyboard.

The dampeners do give a soft bottom out like membranes and slightly shortens the total throw of the switch but they don't affect the switches resistance, its literally a rubber O-ring that sits under the key cap.

Well I took mine off my G710+, I can say I'am still undecided what I like more.   I left the NUMPAD o-rings on so I could compare a little. And I not sure what it is about them but they feel different and feel like they need a little more force to push them down, and perhaps its just because the NUMPAD keys are as well used but even comparing to a key unused like the windows key, still feels like more is needed. I originally didn't believe this myself but I just spent a minute pressing both keys with the same figure and there just a feeling like you need more force (a tiny amount). And sure it could just be me imagining it or believing something that I want to, but definitively I can say they are different feeling.

I think it'll be a placebo affect, either that or some of the switches in your KB are from different batches (that can have a slight affect on actuation force) but the O-rings wont come into play at all until you bottom out the switch which will be softer, quieter and happen slightly sooner (usually ~0.2-0.4mm sooner but that varies depending on your O-rings). If you type based on the feedback and don't bottom out having them and not having them will be absolutely no different barring inconsistencies in the switches themselves.

And perhaps it was more of the second option, Maybe I type differently on them just because of the different feel. I don't bottom them all out but sometimes I do.

I've used both and I prefer K65 from corsair. Just a solid keyboard. But for mice I would only suggest logitech. :) So get a k70 for full keyboard or k65 if you don't want/need a numpad.

Corsair keyboard is just fine and rigid. I'm actually a tt poseidon user :D

I suppose, you won't be looking at your keyboard all the time, but, from personal experience:

  • some keyboards' lights are flashing, it should make your eyes tired
  • blue colour is the most intensive colour for our eyes, so it's not very comfortable
