USB flashdrive and other problems

First:

- My dads flash drive just wiped it self clean. All his work was there, is there some black magic to get something back?

Second

- My phones screen today out of nowere started not to recognize my fingers or anything. Is there a way to backup all my photos or wipe them clean?

1. This is a data recovery program I have had some luck with. It works best when the files were accidentally deleted and the drive is still in good health! https://www.piriform.com/recuva/download(its by the same people who make ccleaner if that helps?)

2. what phone do you have? You can probably connect you phone to a computer and do a back up that way and then preform a factory reset on your phone to reset the software and settings and wipe all data and see if that helps.
